What Lies Beyond?
Abraxas… a child of divine blood, the originator of the now forgotten age known as Zeptepi, and the “Grand Architect” of Samsara itself, is lost to the Wheel of his own creation. Following his death, Samsara begins to fall apart at the seams, while false idols masquerade as gods. All of existence is thrown into disarray with the only certainty being uncertainty, whilst Abraxas is plunged into mortality. For every incarnation comes with it its own privileges and pitfalls, making it an arduous and obscure journey to an untold end. Through every life, death and rebirth, Abraxas must journey through the illusions of reality, search for truths hidden within lies, locate fact within myth and ponder the most inexplicable questions of existence. Most importantly, he must remember who he was, who he is and who he will become, in order to pierce The Veils of Samsara and rewrite the rewritten.
Book I: Zeptepi
Zeptepi… an era in which “gods”, known as Aeons, walked amongst the mortal species known as the Apkallu. Zeptepi was a time when magik could be seen throughout the globe… an age that the modern mind would only be able to describe as fantasy or myth. However, this is no myth… nor is it fantasy. In fact, this is the very origin story of Homo Sapiens and the epilogue of Abraxas himself. Flood myths are key events that are prevalent throughout every civilization and religion around the globe. This begs the question… was there indeed a major flood that wiped the slate clean whilst humanity was at its peak? Long before the famed Zoah and his Ark, there lived a half Sapien half Aeon King named Ziusudra. During his reign, Ziusudra is warned by his Aeonian father, Enki, of the impending doom that was to befall Eden (Earth). He tasks Ziusudra to travel the Kingdoms and gather essential personnel in order to preserve and rebuild the era of Zeptepi. With the fate of the Apkallu in their hands, these “chosen ones” find themselves center-stage in an extinction level event that will alter the visage of Samsara forever.

Tens of thousands of years following the cataclysm that brought Zeptepi to an end, Abraxas finds himself in his first incarnation with mortal flesh. With the Apkallu and Zeptepi long forgotten, the Sapiens emerge as “devolved” versions of their ancestor species. Book II follows a Sapien known as Gilgamesh… the charming yet egotistical King of Sumer. He is a man of great strength… feared by many, respected by all and loved by none. He is a man of great wealth… mistresses are many, gold on the walls but still wants one. Out of everything he owned Gilgamesh believed he had nothing due to his failed attempts at achieving one thing… Immortality. He dwelled on mortality far more than any other… so much so he began to grow mad. Strangers came to him while he dreamt, he saw faces of the dead and he was given a vision every new moon. After seeing and hearing what the phantoms had to say, Gilgamesh set forth on a journey across the mythical Sumerian Kingdom in search of his immortality. Will he return with what he set out for, or will he discover something more timeless than immortality.

A few thousand years after the Tale of Gilgamesh, and about a thousand miles southwest of Sumer, lies the Old Kingdom of Egypt… a civilization that needs no introductions, as its majesty speaks for itself. Book III follows an alchemist named Bakari and his life as an oddities shop owner. It was a family business that he took over after his father fell ill and was unable to work. Bakari grew up in the shop and came across all manner of mystical and occult items… but nothing put a candle to the object he procured long after taking over after his father. That day, a peculiar man arrived at his shop to trade an odd trinket for alchemical materials. Bakari was puzzled as he knew not of the trinkets' value, nor of its purpose. The next day another man and a woman with purple eyes entered the shop in search of the trinket. They offered more riches and resources than Bakari could use in a lifetime. Taken aback by this, he told the strangers it was not for sale… this turned out to be the decision that sends Bakari on a country wide game of hide and seek between two parties in search of the same object to use for opposite purposes. What should one choose to drink when the only two options are poison and toxin?

This is why the Proxies created kingdoms underground for their bloodline and other elites to dwell. Elyon, knight of a surface kingdom, has spent his life devoted to his faith in the Prophecy of Iye and his hatred for the Proxies… but all of that changed when he met the Woman. She spoke of things that should not and could not be true… things that exist and occur in the kingdoms below that could flips his faith and feelings forever.
